Celebrating TYR pairs and partnerships from season one - couples, friends, brothers...
Wow, I got very wordy again because it's the last episode of season one. There was lots more storyline once again. Or maybe I was just having trouble letting go. Sniff!

Well, the end is almost here. We finish season one with a two-parter which becomes traditional for the end of a season. Plenty of Kid and Jimmy so there are no complaints. But the episode is heavy on exposition so the picspam got a little wordy.

More about Teaspoon's past is revealed in this episode, the fact he was a survivor of The Alamo. Apart from that, Jimmy's parentage is apparently revealed which I found a lot more interesting than much of the main storyline.

Well, it's near the end of the season and finally Sam gets a turn. This episode contains more than a few heavy-handed cliches (Timmy's down the well!) but all in all it's okay.

More Jimmy for you, ladies. Plus some irrelevant Teaspoon moments, sideburns, blue shirts and generally lots of pretty things to look at. Enjoy!

Now, this is more like it. Maybe it's having a good guest star (sorry, ex-Mrs Brolin), or maybe a half-interesting character in Ambrose (his hero worship of Jimmy is cute, and not at all SWF like Cody's fantasy), but this is a much better episode than the previous couple.
Plus, Kid and Lou together in their underwear so you know I'm happy! Sigh, I'm so fickle.

So, I thought Blind Love was bad. Daddy's Girl is almost worse, for the sheer fact that the riders are barely in it, the B storyline is a huge snooze-fest, and the episode just appears to be a vehicle for the then-Mrs Josh Brolin. But then I remember the dialogue in Blind Love and it's still my worst episode of the season.
That said, my apologies up front, this is the worst picspam ever – absolutely nothing happens and even the pretty pictures of Buck are thin on the ground.

Okay, so there's Cody and this bear. Plus creepy Meg Foster. And something about a fake message for the government.
But there was also a cute baby, and Ike being cute with the baby. So I just chose to focus on that storyline, hope y'all don't mind. Cody just doesn't do it for me.

Emma gets a turn in this episode, which just prompts me to say where are the episodes for Buck and Ike? I never noticed what a raw deal they got in terms of screen time before (probably due to the fact that if Kid, Lou and Jimmy were on I was happy). Now I find I actually miss them.

Point of trivia, this is the first episode of TYR I ever saw. I flipped over by accident one afternoon and caught the tail end of the show. A lucky find. The rest, as they say, is history.

Okay, this episode was definitely not as bad as I remember, but that's only in comparison to Blind Love. In the end, not much happens. The best bit? Kid's new blue shirt! Not one, but two! (Yes, it is sad when wardrobe is the highlight of an episode.)

Wow, is it just me, or are we just switching between Kid, Lou and Jimmy episodes? It feels like ages since Buck or Ike or Cody got more than a few lines. Considering, out of all the riders, those first three are my favourites, I shouldn't be complaining but the other characters really aren't even getting a look in. Anyhoo, it's Jimmy time.

Keepsake time. It's nice that we get actually to see a returning character in Amanda, who we're introduced to in this episode. Apart from that, this one is also close to the hearts of Kid and Lou fans, so be prepared for major picspammage.

Oh. My. God.
This episode has some of the lamest dialogue ever. I'd completely forgotten. Seriously, someone on the writing staff was reading too many Mills & Boon novels. The whole thing is nausea-inducing and deserves the shortest picspam ever...
Sorry, Jimmy fans. I know he's your boy and all but I couldn't bear to linger on this one.

I really outdid myself with the plot commentary on this one. Let's just call this what it is – a bunch of very pretty shots of Jimmy. And Jimmy and Emma. And then a few more of Jimmy.

There's nothing better than following up a Kid episode with another Kid episode! Don't worry, Jimmy fans, there's a couple for you coming up too. :-)
